I’m a neuroscientist passionate about higher cognitive functions such as learning, memory, decision-making, and problem-solving. Outside the lab, I explore different art forms, working with watercolor, acrylic, and oil paints. I also enjoy playing ultimate frisbee and hold professional-grade training in compound archery. Recently, I’ve taken up photography, which pairs beautifully with my love for travel.

Education and academic journey
I love solving problems. Each challenge demands a unique approach; whether it’s in engineering, design, or creative thinking. Here, I’m sharing some of the projects I have enjoyed working on.

Head-Mounted eye-tracker for studying vision neuroscience in freely behaving animals performing ethologically relevent tasks.

Artificial Neural network based segmentation that allows for pupil detection without setting any threshold and is robust to varying lighting conditions.

Using Unity game engine, I designed a virtual maze for humans so that they can try to solve the maze just as a mouse would do for a behavioral task.

For my doctoral thesis I investigated the role of learning and memory in forming "Mental schema" and how that can be leveraged to solve novel problems.
Photography
I love traveling to places far from city life, where I can capture the beauty of nature and wildlife around me. Birds and small insects are among my favorite subjects to photograph.
